Blast from the Past

This morning I was feeling grateful for all of the learnings and personal work that I have done over the years that had brought me to the place that on such a morning when I was not feeling particularly clear, I could and did sit to meditate, and went within to the place where “I call myself to myself”.

I did not have a better topic to write about so I started looking through old posts that I hadn’t finished or published but had saved in my history.
The following is another “this morning” that felt like it was related, at least to me. It talks about how what I did with my previous todays is of benefit today.

This morning I went to Facebook because a woman tagged me. It was very simple "You were one of the few who believed in me from the very beginning " I don't know her very well but gave her a pile of midwifery textbooks that I didn't need anymore, a few years ago. She has 10 children:) I told her a story about how at different ages I felt "too old" to pursue whatever goal I was thinking of at the time. I tell this story to people younger than me sometimes to tell them that from my perspective they are not toooo old and they can do it. I never see her and she is not my personal "friend" but when she achieved her goal to become a certified professional midwife a few days ago, she was kind enough to remember and acknowledge my encouragement. Sometimes we do little things that we forget about, we drop little tidbits of acknowledgement , love, encouragement, compassion, advise and sometimes even practical things like lessons, books or food. If we are fortunate ("Your actions have produced the results you see in your life right now. If you don't like the results you need a new course of action” Prem Rawat) our life is overflowing. All of that "overflowing" can be a boon, a teaching, and a light to fellow passengers and don't we all need that sometimes?

I added the kitten picture because who doesn’t like a good kitten picture and also because they are one of my yesterdays, they are the ones that I found in a barn stall, tamed and found a good home for.
