The rain at my house

FullSizeRender.jpg

We have been getting a lot of rain.

When people mention it, I have been telling them that I prefer to live in a place with an excess of rain rather than the reverse.

Today, it was lightly raining and in the early evening a foggy mist helped to connect me to the magic and immensity of life in the yard of my little white house.

The elder oak trees took me to and through  their roots, and the pleasure of their underworld was intoxicating.

I tasted a clear water drop hanging  from the lower branch of a small maple. The drop held  my world in that moment.

I  set  a mug outside to observe, collect, and honor the water. I think that I will drink this water on the next sunny day, unless my friends, the birds, drink it first.

Bless the water that floats and falls from the sky!
