Thank You, Dear Friend
It’s not required for me to be perfect everyday. What I have signed up for is to show up.
Today, a friend who I have been thinking about, called me.
We didn’t just talk about the so called beautiful things. We showed each other a little bit of our imperfection.
Thank you, dear friend, for being strong enough, for practicing peace enough, that I can open to you and know that you won’t hold onto what I am letting go of, and become overburdened yourself.
Thank you for understanding what it means to be a fellow traveler, not judging me by my imperfections, but encouraging the continuance of my becoming.
Thank you for shining your heart and exposing your vulnerability and imperfection, taking the chance that I can also become one who can listen.
I am still listening to one of the things that you said. It is valuable to me right now. You said that (and forgive me if I get it a little wrong) you sat to meditate and sat for quite a while feeling “nothing” and then the beauty rained down upon you.
So, I remember, I am light,I am all that is. Even on “those kinds of days”, I can and will remember.
We are dancing into ourselves.
