Trees and Me
I’m thinking about Mt Auburn Cemetery today. If you’ve never been there, it has the most amazing variety of trees and the dead people seem settled in nicely. It is one of the places I like to walk when I visit my daughter Erin’s family.
It’s not a natural eco area like a forest. Each tree has a story, name, personality and is very well cared for.
I seek out what feels good and makes sense. I like the way trees breathe and the way they stand in one place mostly. I like the way they draw from earth and sky. I don’t pretend to understand completely but know that we are the same, both in close relation with earth and stars.
Trees share oxygen, broom handles, wands, staffs and firewood.
I’m not really sure what I am trying to say here, probably that I like trees. Knot the end.
