Thanks Mom

Sometimes folks learn from elders who are not in their bloodline. They take the lessons like stiff pieces of long wood and admire them from the outside, unable to fit them into their own boundaries but admiring them like an outsider, never receiving the full magic of the teaching.

The reality that we have created since the moment we were born, trying to understand and put meaning to our environment is challenged.

This is one of the important lessons in sitting quietly, in momentarily letting go of the reality, that we in truth, have manufactured.

Remember the physicist who realizes that reality is created through observation.

Can we for a moment sit and let go of what is real and what is not, the beauty and cruelty of the world we have simulated? Can we, for an instance feel our original impulse, the thing that constantly creates and destroys us until we are not separate anymore, feeling our original impulse in its simplicity and the window into the timeless place…

Traveling, our bodies are a very sacred vehicle, our dimensional grounding, a place of many many experiences. Is there a special reason for bodily existence?

This brings me back to the original thought. Please let me sit in such a way that the doorway to my understanding to the fullness of my existence is not so narrow that truth cannot enter. Let me remain in my original discerning state and take advantage of the opportunity this body presents, bringing more and more of who I am into this very unique dimension of existence.

This takes a lot of letting go and one of my favorite sayings is that I don’t want to throw the baby out with the bathwater. I am glad to have “my body”. Thanks mom.
