FrienD List
If I could choose a group of people to travel with, to be my friends, who would they be?
This morning I am making a list!
I am going to use my list to challenge myself to not only ask/search/recognize for the friends that I need but to highlight the parts of my own self that need to be available to be a part of this awesome community that creates itself (from my perspective) around me.
I am open to friends as gateways to new experience and states of being. I am open to inter-species and inter dimensional affinities. I need buddies and besties. I need those who feed me food, young and old, and those who tell me the truth as they see it.
Thank goodness I am not starting from scratch.
Even though the list page starts blank, there are names that appear quickly, no hesitation that these are the ones I want in my life.
There are also those who belong on my list that I have not allowed or taken the time to draw close.
In the past I may have blamed my introversion and honestly, that is part of it but not all. Judgement of self and others comes in to play and I am finding discernment a better friend-finding tool lately than judgement.
A secret to myself today is, as practical as a list I create is for focusing, there is always more than who/what fits on a page.
